Today the nursery children had a very exciting trip to Kirkley Hall Zoo. We were greeted off the coach by Ruby, our guide for the day. After putting our bags away, we got started by having a tour around the first half of the zoo where we saw some meerkats having their breakfast! Next we saw some ducks, parrots, Lemurs and squirrels.
After that, we went indoors to see a very cute monkey who was carrying a baby monkey on its back, along with this, we also got the chance to handle some animals, including a snake, a chameleon and a large black lizard. 
As it was such a beautiful day, the children enjoyed eating their packed lunch outdoors. In the afternoon, we looked around the rest of the zoo where we saw some wallabies, Shetland ponies, alpacas, lots of fish and large tortoises. 
After all of this, it was time to head back to school! The children all had such a wonderful time, showing such fantastic listening all day.
