Reception Library Visit

On Thursday this week, Reception class were invited to the newly refurbished library at Crawcrook to take part in an ‘Elmer’ themed workshop. We met Kyle who works at the library. He started by reading Elmer to us. We discovered that the story is 35 years old this year!

After listening to the story, we took part in a craft session. We had a large selection of colours to choose from to collage our own Elmer the elephant.

Before heading back to school, we spent some time exploring the lovely selection of books in the children’s section of the library. We had such a fantastic time and are looking forward to visiting again soon.
