Yesterday, Year 5 had a fantastic visit to York. We set off from Newcastle early, so we started with breakfast on the train followed by card games, I spy and more. When we arrived in York, we visited the Jorvik Centre where the children learned all about the lives of Vikings. The 'ride' was a great hit although a little smelly at times! We then meandered through the Shambles to York Minister before heading to the National Railway Museum. The children all had a great day and represented our school brilliantly.
