Governing Body Structure
The governing body’s main tasks are:
- to ensure that the school has a clear vision, ethos and strategic direction;
- to hold the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils;
- to oversee the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.
Governors attend three full governing body meetings each academic year. In addition, there are termly school business meetings, resource committee meetings and curriculum and pupil committee meetings.
Greenside Primary School’s governing body consists of six co-opted governors, one local authority governor, four parent governors, one staff governor and the headteacher.
The clerk to the governing body is Mrs G. Mains.
