Coffee Morning

As part of their current PSHE unit, 'Dreams and Goals', Years 5 and 6 were tasked with raising money to help others.
They decided to hold a coffee morning and selected two charities to support. Year 5 chose Macmillan Cancer Support and Year 6 chose the British Heart Foundation.
After much discussion, a Harry Potter theme was decided upon and the children then worked collaboratively to devise and make games for people to play at the coffee morning. The children worked very hard on these and I'm sure everyone who came would agree that they were lots of fun to play.
The children set up the coffee morning on Monday afternoon and each had a role to play on Tuesday morning. Some manned stalls, some were Bingo callers, some helped to serve refreshments and we even had a photographer!
The morning was a huge success and we would like to thank everybody who attended and supported the coffee morning. An incredibly generous £266.33 was raised and this money has been shared equally between the two charities.
