Heart-makers
Year 6 have been learning about the function of the heart in science today.
As part of our 'Animals Including Humans' topic, Year 6 have been learning about the function of the heart today. They first learnt how big a human heart is, its shape and where it is situated in the body. They then drew around a classmate's torso and made models of the heart out of plasticine, placing it in the correct place on their body outline. Following this, they annotated their diagrams with information they had learnt about the heart.
