Children's Mental Health Week

This week has been Children’s Mental Health Week.

This year’s theme is Know Yourself, Grow Yourself.

‘The more we can understand about ourselves, the more prepared we are to express our emotions and take on life’s ups and downs.’

Every day, the children have completed activities in class, which included discussing different emotions - thinking about when and why we might experience them; creating personality islands to show what is important to us and what our values are; dancing and singing to improve our moods and help us be happy; sharing what we can do well and what we would like to learn to do; and creating a ‘Know Yourself, Grow Yourself’ tree to represent ourselves.

The children have worked really well in all activities and recognise the importance of looking after our mental health and wellbeing.
